The Software Test Tools contain all the information and tools you need to qualify your software applications for YES CERTIFIED program certification on the SUSE^® LINUX, Nterprise^TM Linux Services (NLS), NetWare^® 4.2, 5.1, and 6.x platforms.

The following sets of documentation are in this download:

Software Test Tools for NetWare: The installed documentation is named softtest.pdf, which is located in the c:\novelltestkits\application\docs directory.

Software Test Tools for SUSE LINUX: The installed documentation is named softtest_linux.pdf, which is located in the /opt/novell/NovellTestKits/application/docs directory.

The documents in this download were created as standalone files. Therefore, some links might not resolve.

5.0 Known Issues

The following issues have been reported for the SUSE LINUX kit:

If you receive an error in TestConsole when opening your default browser, open the browser file located in the /opt/novell/NovellTestKits/TestConsole directory and edit it accordingly so that your default browser will be called. The syntax should be self-evident.
If you right-click on a test in TestConsole to display options and execute commands, you have to hold down the right button, scroll to the desired option, the left-click to execute a command.
There are no keyboard enhancers in this version of the kit. Use the mouse to navigate the UI.
The resolution required to run the tests is at least 800X600.
Opening and closing a test project multiple times may cause a JRE Out of Memory condition. To correct this, close the project and TestConsole. Reopen TestConsole and the project.
In some instances the Event Log file may exceed the allowed length resulting in some log entries at the beginning of the log to be deleted.

The following issues have been reported for the NetWare kit:

If the TestConsole becomes unresponsive during testing, it may be due to a server ABEND or Java running out of memory.
If you are using a Windows 95 client, ensure that you have Service Pack 1 and WSSETUP.EXE (IP Patch) installed or OSR2 or above has been installed.
Problem: Unable to add files to the Product Files tab in the Product & Report Information window. When I select a file and press Add Files, the following exception is thrown:

TCClassLoader.loadClass() unable to load 
class com.novell.beans.NWSess.NWSess"
```
Explanation: There is an install problem that we encountered with the last kit. We moved a file from the Software Test Kit to TestConsole so when you install over an old kit the new TestConsole installs NWSess.jar and then when you install the Software Test kit, during the uninstall, it deletes NWSess.jar because it installed it and does not install it because it was moved to TestConsole.

Fix: "Install TestConsole after the Software Test Kit."
